This is an excellent router (my second one, for my mom - I already have one). Works like a charm, no hassles. Sure it doesn't have some of the frills that the more expensive linksys WRT54Gs do (like acting purely as a wireless-ethernet bridge with the internet gateway facility disabled), but for what it does it's really good.
My *only* gripe with this router is that it does not ship with an international-capable power adapter (it's 110-120V only, not 110-240 like most other modern devices), so it's unusable anywhere outside the US without buying a new power adapter (or buying a downconverter)

So far so good. I'm not sure about it's reliability yet as I just got it but it works and was so easy to install.

I've had one of these wireless routers for a couple of years now and it's life is coming to an end.
When I first got this router it was pretty much plug and play. I didn't mess around with any of the settings and it just started working. I think the only thing I did was change the SSID from NETGEAR to my own. Later, when I realized I could see my neighbor's router and therefore he could probably see mine, I tried turning on the MAC security (white list) and registering all of my computers with it but never had any success with getting it to work. Whenever I turned on that feature, even if I had all the right MAC entries, the wired connections stopped working. I am lucky I didn't brick it. So, my network is still wide open. I haven't tried any other security features for fear of bricking my router.
Until about 3-4 months ago, I never had any problem with dropped connections or issues connecting. All the sudden though, it's become flaky. Randomly it seems, none of my laptops can connect to the wireless. I have to unplug the router, count to ten and plug it back in then everything connects once again. It's getting annoying running up and down the stairs.
I am therefore retiring this wireless router. I've ordered a new and different brand and it's on the way. Despite this, this router has been the most reliable one I've owned. It's lasted a couple of years. I can't say that about any of its precedessors from other brands. I am hoping for the same luck with the new one.
I think it's sad I have to wish for luck for a vital piece of equipment to work! I've never read more mixed reviews for any piece of technology than wireless routers.

No problems with setup and the price is right on this refubished wireless router for my Xbox 360

The product is very reliable now that it has been set up. However, the installation cd was worthless and I had to get an IT person I knew to install it for me.
